Friends of the Earth CEO Craig Bennett comes to Arundel!
Tuesday 8th October Craig Bennett, Chief Executive Officer of Friends of the Earth, is visiting Arundel to check out our road situation and lend national support. Come join us for one or more of the exciting activities that day!
11am. Meeting at Mill Road car park at 11am where there is a Highways England consultation van, for questions and photo opps, with banners and witty placards.
2pm. A walk along the river and through woods to Binsted to see some of what will be destroyed by the proposed bypass routes. Meeting at Ford roundabout bus stop. Back by about 5pm, with a mid-walk tea break.
7.30pm. The Road to Ruin: Highways and the Climate Crisis. Craig will be speaking at a public meeting at Arundel Town Hall along with SCATE Chair, Henri Brocklebank of Sussex Wildlife Trust and Darrell Gayle, local resident.
